Mayami

FULL-SERVICE DESIGN BUILD - COMMERCIAL

Located in Wynwood - Miami, Florida

LOCATION ICON

Mayami called for a complete architectural and atmospheric reinvention — one that preserved the venue's energy while giving it real depth, identity, and longevity. Drawing from the language of traditional Mexican architecture, particularly the courtyard-centered haciendas of Yucatán and Oaxaca, Casa Medina reimagined the space as a sensorial journey. Every decision — from the entrance arch system to the sculptural central bar — was guided by how the guest should feel, not just what they should see. The result is a space that moves with its guests: calm and atmospheric on arrival, intimate and theatrical as the night unfolds.

Client Goals:

The goal was to design a nightlife venue that feels both high-energy and refined. The space balances intimacy and openness, with lush greenery softening the urban setting and a bold visual identity guiding guests seamlessly from entry to bar to dance floor.

Key Highlights:

  • A system of arches throughout creates visual rhythm and guides movement from entry to bar to dance floor.

  • The courtyard is the emotional heart of the space — open, connected, and built for gathering.

  • Hand-applied plaster, wengue wood, rattan, and Venetian plaster bring warmth and material honesty to every surface.

  • A sculptural custom central bar anchors the space as both function and statement.

  • Every table is handmade to order — artisanal ceramic, custom dimensions, built to last.

  • Warm 2700K lighting embedded in arches and millwork shapes intimacy without ever feeling decorative.

  • Fully custom FF&E, including handwoven chairs — nothing mass-produced, nothing incidental.
